In 2012 we launch our first In-school touring shows... What Simon SaidA one screen, one actor cinematic theatre in school performance suitable for years 9 to 12 At 8am today Simon will stop sleeping and start dreaming as his mind is catapulted into the stress of preparing for an interview for a promotion and the indecision of asking Kate on a date. Simon is a young man who has to cope with his domineering mother as he climbs the corporate ladder and tries to make a life for himself. One girl holds the key to his happiness and future, Simon must find a way to her heart without losing his mother and his mind. The cinematic screen creates the animated walls of Simon’s home and office that encapsulate the performance space and reveal the character's inner self. At the 2011 DQ conference we presented a process drama based on a science fiction premise of having to abandon a dying Earth to start a new life in the stars. This process was also used to inspire play building artist in residence projects with Marist College Ashgrove and Ormiston College to great effect. We have now packaged this process drama with a DVD of video content & process instructions so you’re ready to go...
